New York-based singer Lisa Ramey has released her thought-provoking single ‘Internet’ from her EP Foretaste, independently produced via Lisa Ramey Music. Lisa is currently one of two vocalists on tour with Zayn Malik’s all-female band, which has been featured on platforms such as Daily Mail, Yahoo News, Buzzfeed, TheNews, and NewsBreak. She rose to national fame as a Top 24 finalist on NBC’s hit music competition show The Voice as part of Team John Legend. She launched her solo career with her debut album Surrender, which reached #34 on Good Morning America’s Top 50 Albums of 2020, establishing her as a unique talent known for her raw sound and powerful performances. Her electrifying live shows have made her a steadily rising artist with an exciting future in the industry.

This release was produced by Joe “Capo” Kent, a three-time Grammy-nominated producer, with mixes by Sam Maul (Shock City Studios) and mastering by Glenn Schick, all of whom brought their extensive expertise to the project.

Lisa has collaborated with renowned artists such as John Legend, Camila Cabello, and Common, and has performed at high-profile events like the Global Citizen’s Together at Home concert and the Metronome Festival in Prague. Additionally, she has shared the stage with John Legend at Madison Square Garden and worked alongside Zayn Malik.

Hailing from the vibrant blues hub of St. Louis, Missouri, Lisa Ramey grew up immersed in Motown, gospel, and musicals. She has established herself as a dynamic pop/rock and R&B singer, with a sound reminiscent of artists like Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Lianne La Havas, Kelly Rowland, and Yaya Bey. With ‘Internet’, Lisa takes a slightly different approach, adding an electronic edge to her signature R&B style that is sure to captivate fans of FKA Twigs.

Featuring soulful pop vocals and R&B/downtempo rhythms infused with glitchy electronic sounds and effects, ‘Internet’ brings Lisa Ramey’s timeless sound into the modern era, highlighting her impressive versatility. In this bold new track, Lisa thoughtfully explores how our obsession with technology negatively impacts our relationships, painting a sonic picture of a personal yet universal issue of our time. The accompanying music video is a stunning animated fusion of humans interacting with cyber worlds, rendered in saturated colors and interspersed with animations of Lisa singing.
